Most apps put the option to avoid certain roads under settings. With Tomtom , you have to configure it when setting up your route. It's saved, but it's an odd place to put it.. Another problem that needs resolving is not showing the actual street you're supposed to turn on, but just showing distance from the turn and an arrow pointing to the right of left. This sometimes forces users with hearing lost to spend more time staring at the map to avoid missing a turn than watching the road.

"updated" app sucks. Freezes every time I type in an address or location name. I hope you have better luck than me. I'll stick with Google Maps. I downloaded the app for a 3rd time. I can input my home and work addresses. App closes when adding favorites, or looking at the map. Open the app and it closes. I'm back with the reliable Google maps, works without fault for me.

changing voices. I downloaded this app because I remember the GPS's in the past where you could change the voices to funny characters or whatever. it seems that this app does not have that. I would love it if they could bring it back so we could have the voices of our choice. if there is a way to change the voice, please let me know somebody. thank you
